He hasn’t ridden since January but Jeffrey Herlings is finally back on his Red Bull KTM!

The world champ had toyed with the idea of the racing the AMA Nationals but it now looks like a wise decision from the KTM factory bosses to prevent him doing so, as a couple of weeks preparation probably isn’t enough to be competitive straight away in a new 12 round series.

It remains to be seen when Herlings will make his comeback in MXGP, it is unlikely to be Mantova next weekend with such a short time back in the saddle but with Herlings you never know! He will have no championship to fight for in MXGP, so won’t have the pressure of being at the front straight away and can ease back to his normal race pace.
