Unfortunately for the older Martin brother, Alex suffered a nasty get-off heading down one of the hills in the second qualifying session at Thunder Valley. It was immediately apparent that something was wrong with Alex as he held his arm getting off the track. The Alpinestars medical crew was quick to assist the 26 but unfortunately for Alex, he suffered a broken arm.
In a similar vein to this past Supercross season, Alex was also taken out quickly in the season after having a crash at the opening round of the West Coast series. The 250 class has already seen a handful of very talented riders drop this season including Seth Hammaker and Cameron McAdoo and we’re crossing our fingers that we don’t see anymore soon.
