Chad Reed was injured on the first lap of the main at the 2019 Seattle Supercross. His injuries are severe enough to put an end to his season: broken ribs, scapula and a collapsed lung. He was positive about the track and promises to be back. The crash caused a chain reaction of events that put Marvin Musquin’s win into question

This is what Chad had to say on Instagram. “Yesterday was fun. Finally a halfway technical track. The whoops were so freaking awesome. Loved every pass. Unfortunately, a mistake in the main was costly.  8 broken ribs, broken scapula and a collapsed lung. I’m bummed my year comes to an end with 5 to go. Thanks @dantruman101 @sheetmetal220 staying with me. Thinking of everyone involved. I’ll be back!”
