RIOLA SARDO (Sardinia) 17 September 2021 – The FIM Motocross World Championship continues this weekend with round 10 taking place in Riola Sardo, for the MXGP of Sardegna.
MXGP is heading to the ‘Island of Sport’ for what is bound to be another incredible race weekend full of fierce battles as the MXGP and MX2 stars continue to battle for the title. In addition, the EMX85 and EMX65 riders will also take on the sandy circuit of Riola Sardo for their races on Saturday.
No doubt the likes of Jeffrey Herlings, Antonio Cairoli, Jorge Prado and Romain Febvre will all be looking for blood and a chance to pull back that large points lead of the defending champion.
In the MX2 class all eyes will be on MX2 rookie Liam Everts as he tried to duplicate his father and grandfather in the step to the Grand Prix level. A rough sand of Sardinia might just work in his favour as the teenager was impressive in the Belgian international a few weeks ago on the same type of circuit.
Series leader Maxime Renaux of the Monster Energy Yamaha team will without doubt be looking for a chance to extend his lead as he has one eye on the MXGP class in 2022.
