On to the Budd’s Creek National. The 250 Class has been shaken up from bike failures to unfinished moto’s and is now coming down to the year’s final races. Only two rounds left, Factory HRC Honda’s Hunter Lawrence has a 22-point lead over Star Racing Yamaha’s Justin Cooper coming into the final rounds. After a few tough rounds at the start of the season, Hunter Lawrence has bounced back and gained control of the points lead.
With the 450 Championship being locked up by Jett Lawrence last weekend, this usually would take the stress off a rider. But Jett still has a list of challenges ahead of him. Coming into this moto, he has a streak of 18-18 moto wins so far this season, and if he can maintain this streak for two more rounds, then he will have completed a perfect season, something that very few have ever done in the past, never in a rookie season.
