The 2023 West Coast Supercross season is coming to close and it all depends on one rider, Jett Lawrence. Jett’s brother, Hunter Lawrence, has already claimed the 250 East Coast title, and for Jett to do the same on the west would require a finish better than 10th place. This should be no problem for the 19 year old Australian as he’s had quite the remarkable streak of podium finishes since 2021. Now, he’s only one more podium finish away from clinching the West Coast title and saying a goodbye to his 250 SX career. In qualifying, he was the fastest rider in Denver, even beating his teammate Chase Sexton.
The premier class is coming to a wrap as only two rounds remain in the 2023 Monster Energy Supercross season. Eli Tomac has a respectable lead over Chase Sexton after several race-winning contenders took massive hits in Nashville. Cooper Webb, Justin Barcia, and Jason Anderson are sidelined for the rest of the season which will make it tougher for Chase Sexton to get breathing room in the Main Events. While Eli Tomac has the option of playing it safe, it’s now or never for his opponent Chase Sexton
