The opening round of the 450 motocross class at Fox Raceway was an eye-opener. For one the deep field of factory riders have fallen like flies due to injuries and taking the Nationals off to race the World Supercross races. Two, the 450 rookie Jett Lawrence is the real deal. Sure Eli Tomac wasn’t there but Chase Sexton is no slouch and Jett looked like he was cruising out there. Was it a fluke? We don’t think so, Jett is a big deal and the competition is going to have to find a way to beat him.
After the first round, Hunter Lawrence showed that he was all business and went 1-1 to win the overall. Justin Cooper might be the biggest threat to Hunter at Hangtown as he went 1-1 here in 2021. Let’s see how 250 qualifying went down.
