The Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha team has faced a challenging beginning in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Last weekend at Hangtown, Jeremy Martin sustained a severe injury that prematurely ended his season.
He has already undergone one surgery and will require additional medical procedures. In the meantime, Garrett Marchbanks, who had previously been sidelined by an injury throughout the Monster Energy Supercross, has encountered difficulties in regaining his top performance level.
Well, beginning this weekend, Garrett is making the move to the 450 Class, the team announced today.
Here is what was said in their pre-race press release:
“Even though Garrett has lost weight and turns leader speed lap times, he cannot seem to get the starts off the grates to be up front. Sooooo, starting at Thunder Valley, he will be our first racer to enter an event on the new 2023 Yamaha 450F platform. You are reading that correctly. Garrett Marchbanks makes the move to the 450 class this weekend.”
Marchbanks is no stranger to the 450 Class in Pro Motocross, as he raced it last year and finished 12th overall.
