On Instagram, Jimmy Decotis revealed his plan to make a comeback to the racing scene this weekend, specifically at the Southwick National event.
Decotis posted – “I can’t believe I’m going to say this. I’m really excited. I’m blessed. And I’m healthy. That’s the biggest part of this whole video. I want to announced I’m coming back to race the Southwick National in the 250 Class for Trail Jesters KTM.”
Decotis, a Massachusetts native, stepped away from professional racing in 2020 due to health concerns brought on by his struggle with Lyme Disease.
Having initially started as a predominantly independent rider, Decotis forged a remarkable professional career. Through determination and hard work, he eventually secured a coveted factory ride with JGR, achieving three podium finishes in AMA Supercross’ 250 Class over the course of his career.
