Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Adam Cianciarulo entered the weekend feeling a little under the weather, and boy, did he pay the price for it! Southwick National always presented a tough and formidable challenge for everyone. Despite starting the second moto with a relatively good feeling, Adam began to overheat around the halfway point, requiring him to muster all his strength to bring the race to a close. After crossing the finish line, he immediately rode straight to the medical rig, where he promptly passed out, leaving him apologetic towards his concerned mother. Adam expressed immense gratitude to Dr. Bodner and the rest of the staff, as they provided exceptional care throughout the ordeal. Although uncertain whether it was heat stroke or heat exhaustion, he strongly advised against experiencing it. While the last couple of races were not ideal, Adam firmly believed that overcoming these challenges would make the upcoming triumphant days even more rewarding. He planned to rest for a few days and return to the track at Millville with full determination, ready to give his best performance.

I was feeling pretty good in the second moto, but I started overheating around halfway and really had to man up to bring it home from there. Finished, rode straight to the medical rig, and promptly passed out. Sorry Mom.. Very grateful for Dr. Bodner and the rest of the staff, as they took great care of me. Not sure if it was heat stroke or heat exhaustion, but whatever it was, I wouldn’t recommend it. 🤣 Not an ideal last couple of races, but it will make the great days ahead that much better. I’ll rest for a few days and come out swinging at Millville.
