For the second year in a row, there’s heavy rainfall in northern California during the second weekend of the year. It was much worse last year and FELD was forced to postpone round two, which was in Oakland, and it was rescheduled later in the season. This year, the weather wasn’t bad enough to postpone, but San Francisco received enough rain to create the ultimate challenge. Not only is a mud race challenging for the riders, but it’s also brutal on the mechanics.
Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence, the rookie sensation, had a challenging night at Round 2 of San Francisco Supercross last night in tough conditions. In a surprising turn of events, Chase Sexton lapped his championship rival, Jett Lawrence, in the last lap of the Main Event. It remains to be seen how Jett will rebound from this setback next weekend in better conditions at San Diego Supercross.
