In a recent race update, Billy Laninovich reflects on a harrowing incident that could have had a far worse outcome. Describing a moment of wheel spin going up the face of the finish line, the racer ended up sideways and fell short, resulting in a heartfelt apology to affected competitors. The aftermath reveals a toll on the racer’s body, with soreness in the left femur, left hip, right leg, and lower back, likened to being hit by a train. Despite the physical challenges, the racer expresses gratitude for the overwhelming love and support and vows to undergo therapy, determined to make a comeback at A2. This narrative highlights not just the physical demands of racing but also the resilience and sportsmanship integral to the racing community.

God is so good!!! The outcome of this should have been a lot worse. Not sure what happened going up the face of the finish line, I got wheel spin and it thru me sideways and came up short. I want to apologize to the guys I took out. I’m really sorry! I feel like I got hit by a train this morning- my left femur, left hip, right leg and lower back are pretty dang sore. I will do a lot of therapy and do my best to get to A2. Thank you for all the love and support.
