HEP Ecstar Suzuki’s Ken Roczen expressed dissatisfaction with his performance at Arlington Supercross. Despite finishing 3rd in the first 450 Heat Race, he later placed 8th in the main event. Malcolm Stewart and Ken Roczen went down together and found themselves both on the ground, both coming from the back of the pack. Roczen attributed his frustration to feeling like he had overdone it with riding in the lead-up to the event. He acknowledged that while he has been highly motivated, sometimes this motivation can be overwhelming. Reflecting on the experience, Roczen recognized that nobody is perfect and emphasized that he is constantly learning, especially about himself.
Ken Roczen shared, “I am super frustrated with yesterday. I have been pretty motivated but sometimes that motivation can take over so I had a big week of riding and I feel like I have overdone it a bit. I didn’t have much to give this weekend and it showed. Nonetheless, nobody is perfect and I am learning on a daily basis as well and especially about myself. We’ll be back next weekend in Daytona and I’m looking forward to being 100% and charging hard 🤘🏽. The good thing was, I only lost 4 points so everything is still solid!”
