Firepower Honda Carson Mumford promising start to the SuperMotocross Playoffs was derailed by a practice crash at the second round of SMX in Texas. The Fire Power Honda rider reported having a “stupid crash” that resulted in a right leg injury.
“Had a stupid crash in practice today and compounded my right leg,” Mumford shared. “I’ve been riding so dang good lately this is seriously heart crushing.
“Mumford felt the track layout at Dallas, Texas was unusual, stating “That track was really really weirdly built to me but it is what it is you’re not going to like every track you ride.
“The young rider is now scheduled for surgery this afternoon to address the leg injury sustained in the crash. He is hopeful for a quick recovery, saying “Hoping for the best and to get out of the hospital in a few days.”
