Dean Wilson had a tough time racing in the WSX series in Perth over the weekend. Despite showing good speed and putting in solid performances, things took a turn for the worse.
The British rider is unhappy with Vince Friese after a collision left Wilson with a shoulder injury. British fans are hoping for a quick recovery, as they’re eager to see Wilson compete in the upcoming Arenacross World Tour—a rare opportunity to watch him race in the UK.
Wilson posted the following update on social media – he is clearly frustrated…
Coming through the pack, trying to get around Vince (Friese), and go around him – pass him nice and clean through the whoops, super-clean. I’m moving forward, got three guys in front of me, and he just doesn’t try to turn, completely blindsides me, I didn’t even see it coming once again. There was no build up to this, haven’t had any beef with him since A1, and he just completely f**king drove it into me. People behind me that were in the race said they’ve never seen someone get hit so hard”.
“Anyways, dislocated my shoulder, I’ve torn my labrum, and it’s putting everything in jeopardy as far as WSX and the UK goes. I didn’t see it coming, didn’t brace for it, nothing. I didn’t see there was even any need for it – typical Vince sh*t, and I think it’s complete f**king bulls**t. I’ve said this millions of times. Where’s the punishment? He never gets penalized for anything he does and I’m just sick of it”.
“Now I may have to get surgery, all the races I had planned, the cool things I had scheduled, are all in jeopardy because someone injured me. To say I’m frustrated is a very light way to put it… It just sucks, because I was on a pretty good roll and think I was riding pretty good. I just seen the doctors last night, got MRIs and all that, so I’ve got to figure out if I want to get surgery or not. It is what it is, I guess, but I just think it’s bulls**t.”
