Abu Dhabi will be home to a mega week of motorsport action as it prepares to host the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) finale at Etihad Arena—another first for the Middle East, further strengthening the emirate’s position as a leading sports and entertainment venue.
The staging of the last WSX race of the 2024 calendar on Wednesday 4th December takes place just before Yas Island hosts the season-ending Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th December at Yas Marina Circuit, with the city set to attract visitors from across the globe for the two motorsport extravaganzas.
WSX returns to the UAE capital after its successful debut in 2023 – the championship’s first ever Middle East event – that saw riders wow thousands of spectators with their stunning skills on the unique purpose-built track inside Etihad Arena. In 2024, Abu Dhabi will host another WSX first – the thrilling season finale – and fans can expect a bigger and better experience as 32 riders battle for the chance to be crowned WSX and SX2 champions.
