Honda HRC has been left without riders for the remainder of the 2025 Supercross season after Jett and Hunter Lawrence suffered major injuries. Jett tore his ACL during the Glendale Triple Crown and will be out for at least four months following surgery. Hunter tore ligaments in his shoulder at the same event and has undergone surgery, with an estimated recovery of 8-10 weeks—effectively ending his Supercross season.
With both riders sidelined, Honda HRC is actively searching for fill-in options. Rumors suggested Justin Hill was in the mix, but no confirmation has been made. Hill, currently 11th in the 450SX standings with 57 points, has been delivering solid performances, including a 6th place finish at Round 4.
Another rumored candidate was Vince Friese, known for his strong starts in the 450SX class. However, according to Daniel Blair, Friese was offered a fill-in ride but turned it down. Friese is currently 21st in points, struggling to maintain top positions despite his impressive holeshots. Last year, he made headlines by taking a win over Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac in the World Supercross Championship, proving he has the speed to compete with the best.
As the season progresses, it remains to be seen who will step in for Honda HRC. With top talent off the table, the team faces a tough decision in finding a suitable replacement.
Just heard not happening. Vince turned it down. https://t.co/m426x6biEc
