Official! Haiden Deegan FINED and Given Warning After Denver Supercross

    By DirtbikeLoverMay 8, 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Haiden Deegan secured the 250SX AMA Supercross championship in thrilling fashion by claiming victory in the penultimate round in Denver, following a controversial late-race move on then-leader Cole Davies.

Davies took the holeshot and led through the opening laps, closely shadowed by Michael Mosiman and Deegan. Meanwhile, Julien Beaumer overcame a slow start and charged through the field, reaching sixth position with impressive speed.

As the race unfolded, Deegan made his move past Mosiman and began to close in on Davies. Despite intense pressure, Davies held strong until just two laps from the finish, when Deegan dove aggressively to the inside, making contact and forcing Davies off the track. The incident dropped Davies to fifth, while Deegan maintained control to take the checkered flag and clinch the championship.

In a candid post-race interview with Jason Thomas, Deegan didn’t hold back:

“With two laps to go, I wanted that win—I was going to do whatever it took,” he said. “This means everything to me. People doubted me all year, saying I was just hype coming into Supercross and Motocross. They’re just mad I’m that guy—and they’ll have to deal with it. If they don’t like it, that’s on them.”

Penalty Report Released Following Denver Round

Following the event, the AMA released an official penalty report. Haiden Deegan received a written warning for overly aggressive riding stemming from the contact with Cole Davies. Additionally, Deegan was fined for inappropriate language used during his post-race podium interview.
