At Nashville Supercross 2026, it was a day of mixed emotions for Eli Tomac. While his pace and comfort on the bike were evident throughout qualifying and earlier sessions, the Main Event told a different story.
Tomac admitted he felt strong all day with his setup, but a poor gate choice on the inside led to a costly start. On a slick and tight Nashville track, that early mistake made passing extremely difficult, leaving him buried in the pack from the beginning. A crash only added to the frustration, turning what could have been a solid result into a points setback.
Despite the tough outcome, Tomac remains focused on the bigger picture. With rounds still to go, his mindset is clear—ride at his best and see where the championship fight lands as the season winds down.
Eli Tomac – “What a day – the whole day was good, other than the Main Event result! I was comfortable with my setup all day, so I’m just frustrated not only with the bad gate selection – / should have avoided the inside on the start – but also the crash. That bad start really put me in a tough spot from the get-go and I had my work cut out for me trying to make passes on such a slick, tight track. I lost a bunch of points today, but all I can do at this point is ride my best at the remaining rounds and let the chips fall where they may.”
