There was more great racing in Spain for round thirteen of the MXGP and MX2 World Championships with a superb atmosphere!
What a season we are having. It was Jorge Prado who grabbed the holeshot with Romain Febvre in hot pursuit and as usual, the Spaniard didn’t make it easy but Febvre was able to make a move and then pull out a comfortable gap.
That left Gajser hot on the heels on Prado but with three laps to go the Slovenian crashed and Herlings who had a terrible start was able to move into third. All of a sudden on the last lap Herlings was all over Prado and Febvre who backed off to take the win
Jorge Prado took another holeshot in race two but this time he had Jeffrey Herlings for company and the Dutch rider made the move and cleared off into the distance. Gajser passed Prado shortly after but couldn’t cut into Herlings lead with the Dutchman winning his 96th GP overall.
Jorge Prado held off Antonio Cairoli in an epic battle as the pair clashed yet again but Prado came home in third for second overall.
Romain Febvre got caught up on the first lap and rode well to come from virtually last to seventh.
