The 2023 Oakland Supercross is up next as the Monster Energy Supercross series has just made the trek from Anaheim 2, to Houston, Texas, to Tampa, Florida, and now all the way back to Oakland, California (this weekend) to complete the round which was originally postponed from January 14th, to February 18th, due to heavy rain and flooding in Northern California. To make matters even tougher on the riders, team and staff, who are traveling to every race, the series will turn back around and head to Arlington, Texas, next weekend.
Originally, this weekend was supposed to be an “off weekend” for Supercross, but it’s not filled with the rescheduled Oakland SX. This weekend marks the return of the 250 West division with riders like Jett Lawrence, Cameron McAdoo, RJ Hampshire, Levi Kitchen and more ready to take the track again after two weeks off. It’s also an intense weekend for the 450SX class with Cooper Webb coming in hot off his first win while Chase Sexton tries to redeem himself after last weekend’s late-race crash, and Eli Tomac tries to redeem himself after an uncharacteristic fifth in the 450 Main.
