At the second round of the Italian International, Tim Gajser suffered a major crash during the second moto, resulting in a red flag to remove him from the track.
During the race, Seewer held the lead followed by Watson, Vlaanderen, Guadagini, Fernandez, and Gajser, who was in seventh place. Vlaanderen crashed, and Gajser struggled to move up the leaderboard, eventually dropping out of the top five. Renaux and Gajser left Forato behind, and Seewer maintained his lead while Gajser had a massive crash and was out of the race.
Seewer continued to lead, and Fernandez, Watson, Guadagnini, Renaux, Forato, and Bogers followed. Gajser’s condition was a concern, as he was taken off the track, and reports suggested he may have femur damage.
The race did not restart, and Seewer won the Italian International title, but the focus was on Gajser’s well-being and a speedy recovery.
