The super-secret prototype Triumph 250F has broken cover being tested in Europe by new test rider Clement Desalle, says an Italian magazine Motocliclismo Fuori Strada.
Above is a video that lasts a few seconds, but it’s enough to concretize what until now has only been a series of announcements that have been advertised since July 2021. Triumph is about to make its debut in motocross with an unprecedented project that spans across both worlds, World MXGP extension and SuperMotocross USA. We already knew about this since the news has been released directly from the House of Hinckley on various occasions. The scenarios, timelines, and even the characters involved were presented, including Ricky Carmichael, Ivan Cervantto, and newcomers Ivan Tedesco and Clement.
Summarizing the sports program: the debut is expected in 2024 in the World Championship and in Supercross with a 250 cc, and subsequently in the top-class categories with a brand new 450 from 2025. There will be two structures: the Triumph Racing MXGP/MX2 Team, led by Thierry Chizat-Suzzoni, and the Triumph Racing US SuperMotocross World Championship team of Bobby Hewitt. Everything is clear and well-scheduled, but until now, nothing concrete has been seen regarding the bike. Therefore, we are pleased to show you the first images of the Triumph motocross in action, as a world premiere. As mentioned, they are only a few seconds, but they confirm that it is all true. A few frames taken during a workout (probably in Spain), which also allow us to understand some technical choices.
