Adam Cianciarulo shared his perspective on the incident between Haiden Deegan and Cole Davies during a recent race. Cianciarulo emphasized that Deegan’s move was an aggressive but not malicious attempt to pass Davies. He noted that Deegan’s bike angle entering the corner followed the racing line, indicating an intent to overtake rather than cause a collision. While acknowledging that Deegan could have given more room, Cianciarulo deemed the maneuver far from “dirty.”
Cianciarulo further suggested that, upon reviewing the footage, Davies would likely recognize that he should have braked and adjusted his line instead of attempting to turn in. He concluded that such incidents are part of racing, expressing confidence that Davies would continue to achieve success and eventually move past the incident.

Having said that, Haiden went into the corner to make an aggressive pass, not to take Cole down. Pay attention to the angle of his bike as he enters the turn, it’s following the racing line, not aiming for him. Could he have given him more room? Absolutely. However, far from a “dirty” move. When the emotion of the moment subsides, I can almost guarantee Cole will agree with this take. He will watch this back and know he should have braked and stood the bike up instead of trying to turn in. In my opinion, that’s racing. Bummer for Cole, but he’s going to win so much that he won’t remember this in a year! We’ll have a more detailed breakdown for you on the
