During a heat race at Nashville Supercross, Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Adam Cianciarulo was involved in a heavy collision with Cooper Webb. The impact was so severe that Webb’s legs gave way, and he had to be taken off the track in a medical vehicle. Unfortunately, Webb’s injuries may prevent him from continuing his pursuit of the title. Despite the situation being an unfortunate one where Cianciarulo could not have avoided contact, he approached Webb to express his regret and offer an apology.
Cianciarulo later posted on social media, saying that the incident with Webb was the absolute worst spot a racer could be in and that he wished he could have avoided it. He ended the post by stating that he was thinking of Webb and hoped he would be back soon.
Tough day for me. Not because of my result, but because of that incident with Cooper in the heat race. The absolute worst spot you can be in as a racer. It happened so fast, and I wish I could have avoided it. I’m thinking of him and I hope he is back soon.
