Alex Ray, a well-known privateer rider, has been facing difficulties in the current season of racing, only making it to the main event once at San Diego. He had hoped to improve his performance during the recent race in Tampa, but unfortunately, things did not go as planned.
While competing in the LCQ to qualify for the main event, Ray had a mishap while attempting a triple, causing him to go over the handlebars and ending his race. If you haven’t seen it, you can watch the video footage. Ray was fortunate to escape with a broken thumb and gave an update on his injury in a recent post, stating that he needed to do better and that he was undergoing surgery for his injury.
Ray has now undergone surgery to insert a plate and screws in his thumb, and it was successful. He hopes to return to racing by round 9 in Indianapolis. Despite the setback, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the beloved Alex Ray to the track.
