Star Racing Yamaha Max Anstie initially secured the holeshot and established a significant lead. However, a red flag halted the race due to a crash involving Cameron McAdoo. At the time of the stoppage, Anstie had a seven-second advantage over Levi Kitchen. Upon the race’s restart, Kitchen was positioned directly behind Anstie. Kitchen quickly overtook Anstie and maintained the lead to clinch the victory, while Anstie finished in second place.
Max Anstie said – Bobby, the team owner, called me earlier today and said that I somehow mentioned I didn’t expect to win earlier in the day. I don’t know where he got that from, but if he’s not going to show up at the races, he shouldn’t bother calling me anymore. At the end of the day, I expect to do what I’m doing.
