French talent Anthony Bourdon was making strides in his second full season of AMA Supercross, competing in the 250SX West Coast series. After four rounds, he was holding a solid seventh place in the championship standings.
After joining Bar-X Suzuki last year, Bourdon remained with the team for 2025 as they transitioned to Yamaha.
Unfortunately, his season has come to an abrupt end following a brutal crash at the practice track, resulting in significant injuries.
Bourdon shared the heartbreaking news on social media:
SEASON OVER! There are days when everything goes according to plan… and others when everything changes in a split second. I had a big fall at training yesterday, and there wasn’t much I could do about it.
Dislocated hip, broken pelvis and lumbar vertebra. It’s going to be a long road to recovery, but I’m keeping my spirits up and motivated.
Many thanks to the people on site who helped me through this tough day. Thank you all for your support, I’ll be back stronger.
