Last Wednesday, freestyle motocross icon Axell Hodges faced a formidable challenge when a routine ride in the sand dunes resulted in a crash, breaking his right femur. In a social media update, Hodges expressed gratitude for the support of family and friends during the ordeal.

A notable hero emerged in the form of @tyler_ravelle, who, despite not being present during the incident, played a crucial role in stabilizing Hodges and ensuring a prompt response.

Following a successful surgery, Hodges is now back home, determined not to let this setback define his year. Despite the difficulties, he remains resilient, emphasizing his commitment to healing and mental well-being during this period.

Hodges looks forward to returning to the thrill of riding dirt bikes, promising to come back stronger. This incident serves as a testament to the indomitable spirit of extreme sports athletes, who, in the face of adversity, rise above challenges with unwavering determination. As Hodges navigates his road to recovery, fans eagerly anticipate his triumphant return to the dirt, ready to witness him once again defy gravity and showcase his unparalleled passion for the sport.

Axell Hodges posted on social media:

Last Wednesday was just one of those days. I crashed and broke my right femur while riding out in the sand dunes. I’m very thankful to have family and friends by my side while I was down. Also a special thank you to @tyler_ravelle for taking action and helping me out as well. He wasn’t even with us but he came right up, tied up my legs, got me on my back, and was constantly checking my pulse to make sure I wasn’t losing blood. This made me feel so much more at ease knowing that everything was all good while waiting for the helicopter. Surgery went good and I’m now back home resting up. This has been a difficult year, but I won’t let it break me. I’m gunna take this time to heal up and get my mind right. I can’t wait to come back and have some fun riding dirt bikes again
