Barcia’s Contact With Stewart to Delay Mookie’s Pro Motocross Return

    By DirtbikeLoverMay 20, 2022No Comments1 Min Read

First it was a rumor, but now official: Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Malcolm Stewart is expected to miss the first half of the upcoming AMA Pro Motocross Championship as he continues to rehab an ongoing knee injury sustained during the Supercross season. The outdoor series begins on May 28 at Pala, where Shane McElrath is set to fill-in on the team in the 450 class (paradoxically for Dean Wilson and Malcolm Stewart at the same time).

McElrath only had a four-race contract, when it was just Dean Wilson he was replacing, but now he will get at least two more Nationals. McElrath will be joined by teammates R.J. Hampshire, Stilez Robertson and Jalek Swoll.
