Quad Lock Honda’s Carson Mumford was penalized four positions following the 250SX East Division main event at Daytona “for off track advantage during start of race.” The penalty moved Mumford for 7th to 11th in the final results.
Mumford posted – DAYTONA well I finished in 7th but unfortunately was penalized 4 spots for going off the track. I got a good start and came into the second corner battling for 3rd but unfortunately @maxanstie had a crash right in front of me. My only options were to run him over and try and stay in the top five or just go off the track and lose a lot of positions. I obviously chose to do the safe thing and go off the track as I would hope anyone else would do the same if I crashed. I tried to re enter the track in the next safest spot and even let a few more guys pass me once I got on the track again but unfortunately it didn’t matter. I charged hard from 11th to 6th and after the restart I even passed into 5th for a few laps so that was great! In the end with my penalty I left with a 11th, is what it is I look forward to continuing on my path of progress! See everyone at the next race !
