Haiden Deegan expresses his desire to race in the MXoN, but he also needs to have pins removed from his wrist. The decision will ultimately depend on him and his team.
Speaking on Vital MotoXPod show, Haiden said: “It’s been a big subject, it’s still in talks, it’s mostly up to the team. I still have to get screws taken out of my wrist, so it’s kind of up to the team if they want me to be ready for upcoming supercross. It’s really last minute, we are trying to figure it out. The team and obviously myself want to get the wrist healed correctly so I can have a good pre-season.
“That’s what they (doctors) recommended as soon as possible…it’s smart to get it (metal work) taken out while you have the chance. Obviously I want to race for my country and race the other GP guys. That would be so sick, we are definitely trying to figure it out. I genuinely want to race over there, I genuinely think this year I’m the fastest 250 guy so I want to go race the fastest 250 guys over there, 100%. But there is a lot more to it with my body, with my team, so there are things that go on behind the scenes. But I definitely would want to race over there.”
