Levi Kitchen of Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki has been forced to withdraw from the 250SX West Coast due to an illness. As a result, Pro Circuit Kawasaki is left with only Garrett Marchbanks for the West Coast division, with Drew Adams confirmed as a fill-in for Kitchen at the upcoming San Diego Supercross.
Drew Adams, originally slated for the 2025 season as a fill-in rider for the team, had plans to compete in the SMX Next program, which includes SX Futures and MX Sports Pro Racing Scouting Moto Combine events. However, given the current situation, Adams is stepping up earlier than expected. He confirmed that he will be lining up at San Diego SX next weekend to fill in for the injured Levi Kitchen.
Looking ahead, Adams has secured a full-time professional contract with Pro Circuit Kawasaki for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, which allows him to develop without the immediate pressure of full-time racing. His current role as a fill-in for Kitchen offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience at the highest level as he prepares for his future with the team.
