Since the middle of summer, there have been ongoing speculations about Dylan Ferrandis joining HEP Progressive Suzuki for the 2024 season. Initially, it appeared to be a mere possibility, but as time passed, it gained substantial credibility. Confirmations of discussions between the two parties made it increasingly likely that he would indeed sign with them.
Well today that whole situation has changed. According to PulpMX host Steve Matthes, the Ferrandis HEP deal has fallen through. Rumor has it Ferrandis’ spot on the team has been filled with Shane McElrath who has ridden with them before but is currently signed with Rick Ware Racing for the remainder of this year’s WSX series. Expect to see that announcement after the series concludes. So where is Dylan Ferrandis going to go? According to Matthes he got information from an insider that he is signing with the Phoenix Honda race team and will be working with Factory Connection as he is comfortable with their suspensions.
Update: I got a text that Ferrandis is doing Phoenix Honda? Can’t confirm but that’s me out there. It would work w FC doing their stuff which DF used in nats & loved https://t.co/sh1XGuGGhY
