Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing added Enzo Lopes to their 250 team for the 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season. The Brazilian rider joined a formidable lineup, including Nate Thrasher, Haiden Deegan, Jordon Smith, Stilez Robertson, Nick Romano, and Daxton Bennick, all competing aboard the all-new 2024 YZ250F.
Lopes, renowned for his skills, made his pro debut at the Pro Motocross Hangtown National in 2018 following a successful amateur career. Demonstrating consistent strength in supercross, he achieved a career-best result in the 250 class last season, narrowly missing the podium with three fourth-place finishes and concluding the year fourth overall in the 250SX West Championship. In 2024, Lopes aimed to build on this momentum with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team, eyeing a run at the championship title.
Unfortunately, Enzo Lopes will miss the Detroit Supercross this weekend due to ongoing recovery from an injury. Originally expected to make his debut, Lopes is confirmed to return for the Arlington, Dallas round 2 next weekend, as confirmed by Steve Matthes.
