Jeffrey Herlings, the Dutch motocross sensation, has wrapped up a remarkable 2024 season, clinching both the Dutch and British Championships, while securing third place in the MXGP World Championship. With an impressive tally of 15 podium finishes, 13 moto victories, and 4 Grand Prix wins, Herlings’ performance has been nothing short of stellar. However, the latest GP left him with mixed emotions as he expressed frustration over a penalty that he felt compromised his chances for victory. Despite this setback, Herlings remains focused on safety and reflects on the challenges faced during the race, hinting at a growing understanding of why many elite riders are drawn to competing in different circuits.

P3 MXGP World Championship 🥉, with 15 MXGP podiums this season, 13 moto wins and 4 GP wins.
Mixed feelings about today, I feel like this GP got stolen from me but still ended up with P3. That off track excursion in moto 1, 2nd turn didn’t bring me any benefit, no places won, and I tried to enter the track on the most safe spot where I could. Even tho that wasn’t easy as I had to go over electric cables, water hosts, rocks etc etc which were 1 meter next to the track. Better focus on the safety first I would say. 🫡 I understand every day more and more why many top riders go and race @promotocross
