Hunter Calle, a former Motocross and Supercross rider and mentor, has been sentenced to six years in jail, with the execution of the sentence suspended, and ten years of probation after pleading guilty to illicit sexual contact with a minor. The sentencing was delivered in a Danielson, Connecticut court on March 7, 2025.
Calle, a 24-year-old from Canterbury, was arrested in August 2023 following an investigation into a complaint filed on June 21, 2023. Authorities alleged that the incident occurred approximately three years earlier at the Central Cycle Club in Plainfield, a nonprofit motocross organization where Calle mentored children in a racing program. He was charged with second-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor in a sexual context. After his arrest, he was held on a $25,000 bond, with his arraignment scheduled in Danielson court.
Now, after more than a year of legal proceedings, Calle has received a suspended six-year jail sentence, meaning he will not serve time unless he violates probation. Instead, he will remain under supervision for the next ten years, adhering to strict conditions. The case highlights the importance of protecting minors in youth sports and ensuring accountability for those in positions of trust.
