Honda HRC Hunter Lawrence received a penalty of seven points due to his violation of jumping on a red cross flag during the second 250 moto at round 4 of the Pro Motocross Championship held at High Point. Previously, Lawrence had achieved a 3-1 finish, which would have marked his fourth consecutive overall victory at the beginning of the season. However, as a result of the penalty, he will now be recognized as the second-place finisher overall, trailing behind RJ Hampshire by just one point. Lawrence will retain his respective positions in the race, but Hampshire is now officially the overall winner at High Point.
