RJ Hampshire has faced significant challenges during the SuperMotocross (SMX) Playoffs. After a strong start, he struggled in Texas, finishing sixth in the first moto after being knocked outside the top ten by a block pass from Jordon Smith. Unfortunately, he crashed in the second moto, resulting in a 6-22 finish and 15th overall.
Hampshire expressed frustration but felt good about his pace, stating, “It was a tough weekend… I was running third but slid off the face of the triple.
”After aggravating his wrist again in Charlotte and following the crash in Texas, he decided to skip the upcoming race to focus on recovery. He plans to use the offseason to heal fully and aims for a strong return in 2025. The motocross community is hopeful for his recovery as he reflects on an unforgettable year with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna.
Would’ve loved to have a good ending in Vegas but after aggravating my wrist again in Charlotte, then the crash last weekend we all decided it was best to sit out this weekend! Take the offseason to get my wrist back to 100% and focus on 2025!
Thank you @husqvarnamotorcyclesusa @rockstarenergy for an unforgettable year
