In a surprising turn of events at the Indianapolis Supercross at Lucas Oil, an eyewitness was shocked by the behavior of James Stewart Sr., father of motocross/supercross legends James “Bubba” Stewart Jr. and current racer Malcom Stewart. During the event, a fan approached James Sr. for a photo, but instead of politely declining, he aggressively confronted the fan, seemingly ready to fight. Another team member had to intervene to calm the situation.
Later, James Sr. returned to watch the race and rudely took a seat from a young boy without asking, leaving the child and his family bewildered. When confronted by the boy’s father, James Sr. yelled back, causing a heated confrontation. Despite the tense situation, James Sr. remained silent behind the boy for the rest of the race before leaving.
The witness was appalled by James Sr.’s behavior, especially considering his age, and hopes that his sons, who are now adults, do not act in a similar manner. The incident serves as a reminder to be kind and respectful, standing up for others when they are wronged.
Cody Fox posted – WOW…. I could not believe what I witnessed last night at Indy Supercross at Lucas Oil. I never posting anything here anymore but was blown away and felt it needed said. Some may recognize this man as James Stewart Sr. Father to the great legend motocross/supercross racer James “Bubba” Stewart Jr. and current racer Malcom Stewart of the Rockstar Racing Husqvarna Factory Racing team. Last night during one of the races an adult fan recognized James Sr. standing behind me watching the race in the aisle and asked for a quick photo. He replied cussing at this poor fan who was 1/3 his size and getting in his face motioning as if he was going to fight him since he was trying to watch his son Malcom race. Fortunately another member of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory racing team was there to deescalate the situation. This brave fan waited until the race was over and caught a quick photo with James Sr. James Sr. then stormed off while the fellow Rockstar energy racing team member apologized to this fan for a couple minutes to him asking him to please not post about the situation that just happened. The fan agreed and apologized himself for interrupting mid race. I thought that was pretty wild. Then less than an hour later James Sr. Returned alone to the same spot behind where I was sitting to watch the race again while his son was on track. Sitting beside me were the 2 little boys shown in the photo and their mom and dad. The little boys kept standing and then sitting in front their chairs when they got excited as kids do. One time the second boy over from me stood beside his chair talking to his little brother and then randomly James Sr. proceeded to pull the chair out then step into this boys paid spot and sit in his seat without talking or asking anyone. I was completely baffled! The little boy confused and slightly scared. Looked at his mom and she was also confused and asked her little boy if James Sr. had asked to sit there or if he let him. The little boy replied “No he just took it”. The mother then turned to her husband and told him the situation. The dad then asked the little boy again if James Sr. asked him or let him take his seat. The boy replied again “No he just took it”. The dad then told James Sr. to get out of his little boys seat. James Sr. without missing a beat stood up and started screaming at the little boy’s dad saying he was trying to watch his son Malcom race. They then got in each other’s face and no one was stepping in to break it up. I am in a wheelchair and was helpless looking around for one of the cops that had been standing near by or security but no one was around. Finally James Sr. stopped screaming but just stood there in silence directly behind this little boy for the remainder of the race. Before storming back off. I literally could not believe what I just saw. This was the last race of the night and that poor dad did everything he could to keep himself under control. But it was obvious he was spitting fire and this spoiled his night. I can’t believe a grown man around 60 years old would act this way. Talk about a learning moment for the families and people that saw what happened. I would imagine it is safe to say this is not the first time it has happened with James Sr. A grown adult who should know better. I hope his sons, James Stewart Jr. and little brother Malcom do not act like this as they are both grown men now. Moral of the story, be a kind respectful human. If someone is being wronged stand up for them and do what’s right.
Also Kyle Regal (ex team mate of James Stewart) coming out with some wild comment on the post…
