Jeremy Coker Confirms Arm Pump Issue for Tomac in Detroit!

    By DirtbikeLoverFebruary 7, 2024No Comments1 Min Read

This week, there has been considerable speculation regarding Eli Tomac’s sudden drop from third place to tenth in Detroit, Michigan. Many have been questioning whether a mechanical failure or injury caused this drastic change, particularly focusing on online speculation about a potential issue with his rear shock. RacerX have contacted Jeremy Coker, the Team Manager of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing 450, on Tuesday. Today, he provided an explanation to address these concerns.

Jeremy Coker said – “Yes I would like to [respond]. There was not a shock failure in any way,” wrote Coker today in a text message. “His current shock setup is good on harder, drier tracks. When we got to the sticky, rutty dirt like this weekend it sucked the rear of the bike down and in turn gave him arm pump.”

That’s it. That’s the word from Tomac’s team. The good news for them? This weekend’s race in Glendale, Arizona, should mark a return to harder, drier dirt.
