During the press conference, Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence was questioned about his pass on Anderson during the race, which was not shown on TV. Subsequently, Jett made a mistake, allowing Anderson to pass him back. Jett was straightforward in expressing his feelings about the situation.
“I think that he just forgot that there were two Lawrence brothers out there and he did it right in front of one of the other Lawrences,” Jett said. “Yeah, guys like them, they just need a hit in the mouth sometimes. Thankfully the mistake kind of worked out, I was like ‘Oh, no! Mistake!’ Then I was like, ‘Oh, no…’ (Jett motioned ‘go around me’ here). So, that helped me not get my stuff rocked, but yeah, it is what it is.”
One thing that is for sure, is that this situation made the Salt Lake City finale spicier and to be honest, we’re here for it.
