Jett Lawrence’s 2025 Anaheim 1 Supercross performance was a challenging start to his season. After qualifying second-fastest behind Eli Tomac, the defending champion struggled in the heat race, finishing fifth due to a poor start.
The main event brought more setbacks. A tangle with Jason Anderson forced him into a Tuff Block, dropping him to last place after the first lap. Later, a collision with Joey Savatgy in the sand section caused another fall. Despite his efforts, Lawrence couldn’t recover, finishing 12th—his worst career result in 450SX and his first finish outside the top ten.
In his Anaheim 1 recap, Jett Lawrence revealed that he had issues with his bike setup, particularly in the whoops. He mentioned, “The bike was giving us some trouble in the whoops, and we tried skimming them, but it was sketchy. People say we left, but we didn’t—we’re not leaving. We’re coming back, and we’re going to hit them harder. No more Mr. Nice Guy.”
