Following the contentious helmet-grabbing incident in San Diego post the main event, Jett Lawrence and Jason Anderson finally faced off on the track during the initial laps of the heat race in Detroit! While the battle heated up and remained fair, it seemed evident that Jett was anticipating inside maneuvers from Anderson. However, with Anderson faltering in a rhythm section twice, Jett successfully executed a pass and eventually secured the victory, pulling away from the competition.
Jett said – “That heat race was fun with Jason. I tried making sure I didn’t show my respect in the racing, with him and his previous racing I was trying to mentally think to get into this rut but for some reason my body was being very cautious going to the inside! But no, he rode good that heat race, it was a fun battle. It was fun going back and forth with him. When it’s racing like that I would rather do that all moto with Jason, it’s a fun way to race.”
