Before the second Supercross Futures race of the season at Arlington, Julien has announced that he signed with the Orange Brigade KTM amateur team. After only a few days on the bike, Julien will make his debut on the 2023 KTM 250SXF this weekend.
At 16 years old, Julien has been gaining speed and momentum in the amateur ranks since racing a Suzuki RM85. Even though he’s young, Julien has already been on three different brands of 250Fs before his signing with KTM. He first rode the Suzuki RM-Z250, with support from Monster Energy and Suzuki. Then he joined the JMC Husqvarna team, a privateer effort based out of the JMC dealership in Pasco, Washington, and rode their Husky FC250. Then, he switched to the EBR Yamaha team, another privateer effort helping riders in the amateur ranks. He rode a YZ250F for EBR, and then switched to full privateer mode, with support from Twisted Development.
Although Julien was a relatively unknown rider to most fans, coming into Anaheim 2, we recognized his name and number from his many training days at tracks like Glen Helen, Fox Raceway, and Perris Raceway in Southern California. He now trains with Davi Millsaps, which is convenient because both he and Davi live in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
