Troy Lee Designs Factory GasGas rider Justin Barcia had a frustrating night at Glendale Supercross last night, finishing in 18th position, out of the points. It was already clear in qualifying that it was not going to be his day. P13 in qualifying, 3 seconds behind the leader, did not bode well for ‘BamBam’. That’s how it turned out: P6 in the heat race was almost a ray of hope, but then nothing worked in the final. Barcia started from P12 and reached 11th place on lap 3 before crashing and dropping to the back of the field. Barcia was only able to do damage limitation in P18. After 6 of 17 championship races, Barcia is in 10th place, 54 points behind the leader.
He stated that he had a disappointing weekend, trying multiple settings throughout the day but never fixing the issues with the bike. He experienced two crashes due to the bike in the main event and struggled all night.
Barcia posted – Disappointing weekend in Pheonix!
We tried multiple settings throughout the day and it never fixed the issues I am having.
Bike put me down twice in the main and I really struggled to put anything together 😡
Looking forward to a weekend off gives us some time to figure things out.
Fans were epic in Phoenix as always!
Thanks for the continued support brighter days ahead
