Kawasaki has announced a stop sale notice for its 2025 KX 450, KX 450X, and KX 450SR models due to a potential issue with the primary gear. The company has identified that some units may have insufficient surface durability on the primary gear for the crankshaft, which could lead to failure over time.
As a result, dealers must immediately halt sales of these models and submit product registrations for any units sold before the stop sale was issued.
Kawasaki plans to release repair details to dealerships by mid-April, and affected owners will be notified to schedule necessary repairs. The company is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
For more information, customers are advised to contact their nearest authorized Kawasaki dealership.
