Kyle Peters posted an update on social media on his condition after he broke C5 and C6 vertebra at St. Louis Supercross last weekend.
As most people know I had a pretty scary crash Saturday night in St Louis, which resulted in breaking my C5 & C6 vertebra in my neck. On the track I felt tingling and numbness in my arm and knew something wasn’t right , Alpinestars medical team did an amazing job of stabilizing my neck for transportation to the hospital. X- rays showed the broken vertebra’s were pushing on my spinal cord, on Sunday I had surgery. They fused C5 &C6 along with rods and screws from C4 to C7. I’m feeling better each day and planning on going home tomorrow. I wanted to give a huge thank you to the medical crew for knowing exactly what to do and to make sure everything was stable before moving me. Also my family for being here by my side in the hospital, my team for all of their support and just everyone that has reached out with texts and calls. I know I haven’t gotten back to everyone just yet but thank you, it means a lot and I appreciate all of you guys!
