Levi Kitchen clinched his first 250SX East Main Event victory of the season. The race was marked by a late red flag due to a crash involving Cameron McAdoo, which led to a staggered restart. Prior to the restart, Max Anstie had established a comfortable lead. However, Kitchen capitalized on the fresh start, overtaking Anstie to secure the win.
Reflecting on the race, Kitchen expressed mixed feelings about his victory, acknowledging the unusual circumstances. He stated, “It was a weird situation and I’m not happy with winning that way but all we can do is move forward from here.” He also congratulated Anstie on his performance, noting, “He rode great and if roles were reversed I can guarantee any of those boys would have done the same thing.” Looking ahead, Kitchen expressed optimism for the upcoming Daytona round, hoping for a better outcome than in Tampa.
As of now, Kitchen leads the 250SX East Championship standings with 38 points, closely followed by Max Anstie with 47 points.
