During the 250SX East Main Event at the Tampa Supercross on February 8, 2025, Pierce Brown suffered a significant crash in the whoops section while leading the race. The incident led to a red flag, temporarily halting the competition. Brown was attended to by the Alpinestars Medical Crew and was seen giving a thumbs-up to the crowd as he was carted off the track, indicating he was conscious and responsive. As of now, there is no official update on Brown’s condition following the crash.
That’s a tough break for Pierce Brown. He was riding so well, leading both the heat and main, and then that crash changed everything. A T5 vertebrae injury is serious, but it’s good to hear he already had surgery and is focused on recovery. Star Racing Yamaha seems to be backing him, which is huge. Hopefully, he heals up quickly and can get back on the bike soon.
Pierce Brown posted – Damn what a night! I felt great all night leading my heat and main! Halfway through the main I crashed in the whoops. Unfortunately I broke my T5 vertebrae. I had surgery today to get it fixed so that I could get back to racing. I want to thank all my family, friends, fans, and Star racing Yamaha for all the support. I will keep you guys updated on my recovery.
